CD-ROM installation on Windows Vista

We have found an installation related problem on Windows Vista when you first put in one of our CD-ROMs, you may see an error such as this:
We recommend that you upgrade to our latest software. If you are using a 32-bit version of Windows Vista, you can instead follow this workaround:
Put the CD-ROM in the drive and you should see the following Autoplay dialog:
Please click on "Open folder to view files" and you will see something like this in your CD-ROM drive:
Please double click on SETUP.EXE and allow the installation to run. After the installation has completed, it should let you start the program.
Subsequently, when you want to run the program, place the CD-ROM in the drive and you will again see the following AutoPlay dialog:
Please select "Run Setstub.exe". Alternatively, if the disc was already inserted, you can click on Start...Programs...UofA Language Courseware...Critical Languages Series.
If this does not resolve the problem:
During attempts to install MaxBrowser, you may encounter other error messages that prevent successful installation. Some examples are:
- "The version of this file is not compatible with the version of Windows you're running. Check your computer's system information to see whether you need an x86 (32-bit) or x64 (64-bit) version of the program, and then contact the software publisher."
- "This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Create an association in the set associations control panel."
- "Setup Initialization Error: Setup is unable to run a program needed to proceed with the installation. Restart your system and try again. Error 105"
If you are still having trouble installing MaxBrowser from the disc, we recommend that you install the newest version.
